Ready to go! Hop in and start your trip.
- WA rego (June 2012), easy to prolong on the net and no roadworthy checks necessary to get the rego extended! Best for travellers when you want to sell the van yourself–> VERY IMPORTANT: Get informed about Australian (from state to state different) rego rules! Otherwise you might end up with an unsellable or not legally owned car!
- 1988, 423.000 km, well maintained and regularly checked; doesn‘t loose any liquid and doesn‘t drink any oil or coolant! Due to good maintenance, regular checks by mechanics and loving care, this van is reliable and won't let you down on your travels.
Having been on the road for some while, we know a reliable car is the most important thing!
- pop top, store away table
- 5 seater (driver seat plus two passenger seats in the front, sofa plus two seats with belts in the back, converting into a comfy queensize bed)
- lots of cupboards and storage room
- curtains (non see through) all around
- 3 way fridge (runs on gas, 12 V car battery or 240V electricity), no feeble eski! It actually freezes stuff! :) Cold beer where ever you are and your food won't go off
- sink with pump tap and 30 l tank + additional 20 l jerry can
- internal 2 ring cooking stove (gas), have dinner whatever the weather is like or how many flies are outside... VERY IMPORTANT! :)
- 2 lamps inside + oil camping lamp
- 4 internal power sockets with switches when on powered camp sites
- Pioneer radio with mp3player/iPod plug
- 240 V/300 Watt power converter, runs and charges all your electrical appliances - makes you even more self sufficient, no need for powered campsites!
- 15 Amp (orange) power cord for powered camp sites + an adapter to plug it in normal power outlets and just use it as an extention cord + additional 4 socket multi-outlet power strip
- 2 jerry cans (20 l each, 1 for water, 1 for petrol), all cooking and sleeping equipment, tarp, poles, hammock /w 2 ropes, big queensize mozzie net, 4 chairs, (guest-)tent, sleeping bags, mats, boogie board, water filter, washing bowl, camp shower, camp map (leads you to all the free rest areas - saves heaps of money and shows you the really nice places!), national park pass for WA, harvest guide (for finding fruit picking jobs), folding shovel, axe, saw and LOTS MORE...
Dan has been recently fitted with new
- gear box
- cylinder head gasket (20 000 km ago, doesn't drink any oil or water; compression tested, checked by a mechanic two weeks ago being alright)
- tyres (all 5)
- spark plugs, condenser and points, petrol filter etc.
- always regular check ups and oil changes. We kept the car well mantained because we had to rely on it while travelling ourselves.
Dan drinks unleaded petrol and uses 12 l per 100 km when fully loaded, which is pretty good!
